Why less means less selfish

Most parents are probably aware that giving loads of presents every single significant celebration, coaxes out the brat inside your offspring.

But sometimes we need to remind ourselves that buying your child’s entire Santa list, is not a good idea. And we shouldn’t do it.

According to leading child psychologist, Dr. Anna Cohen, fewer toys are much better for children because it means they are less overwhelmed and more inclined to appreciate and value things more.

Toys teach our children about themselves and the world, says Anna. The toys that a child is given act as the foundation to their development on both an intellectual and a social level, so careful consideration should be taken when shopping for presents this Christmas.
